Mood Analysis

Super Smash Tv is a fiction game which takes place in the future, it is being played on a tv stage, marked by the appearance of the presenter just at the beginning, because in fact, it is more of a battlefield. Most of the fight rooms look partially destroyed and old while the most advanced ones look fresher, as it is less common to arrive there. Knowing all this information, it would be normal to think that the game has a very dark mood with lot of death and destruction and in fact it is, however, this feeling of destruction and darkness is replaced repeatedly with some happy moments like entering in secret rooms, which are full of bright colours and lights and an absence of enemies trying to kill the player. Also, when the player defeats the boss, its character will return to the main stage with the presenter, feeling relaxed. These measures are clearly to incept a happy and familiar mood that makes the player want to play more but without forgetting that the player is killing people on a tv stage.

Map1 closed
Map2 purple
Map3 special
Map4 boss

In the first map we can see an industrial zone, suggested by the grey colours, which transmit a war feeling, due to the floor being damaged too. We can see different arrows in the middle that point to the different entrances the enemies come from.

The second map is really similar to the first one, except from the colour tone, which is much purpler, and less industrial.

The third map is much more different than the others, it could be described as a sci-fi or space theme.

The final map is really similar to the first one, but for the big hole in the wall, that can be deduced to be the entrance for the boss.
