This set of scripts requires a few things:
- Windows 10 - OSX support?
- AutoHotKey - download the latest stable version
- A text editor - Atom, Notepad++, or Sublime are all great choices.
- Follow the Installation Guide steps and proceed from there.
At Post-Op Media I'm primarily editing on a Windows 10 system with these specs:
- Intel Core i9-7940X CPU
- Asus PRIME X299-DELUXE Motherboard
- GTX 108Ti GPU
- 64GB RAM
- 512GB NVME System SSD
- 32TB RAID-5 Media Drive
- 8TB RAID-0 Cache Drive
- 27" ASUS PB278 & 24" ASUS PA248 Monitors
- BlackMagic Decklink Studio 4K
- JVC 24" Broadcast LCD Monitor
- Mackie 402-VLZ3 Audio Mixer
- GenElec Studio Monitors
Here's the PcPartPicker Build Listing from when we put it together. This covers the computer gear. Most of the Broadcast Video gear was rolled over from previous edit systems.
As of September, 2019 I'm using the following keyboards & input devices:
- KinesisGaming Freestyle
- Koolertron SMDK-72 Keypad
- Contour Shuttle Pro 2
- Elgato StreamDeck
- Wacom Intuos 4M Tablet
And finally, I use a Sit/Stand desk with a motorized lift mechanism. I am a total convert to this style of desk. And new desk I purchase for the rest of my days will be this style.
