I wonder if this started failing when we upgraded gradle https://github.com/elastic/logstash/pull/17947/files Looks like with version 8.7 we got a passing run https://buildkite.com/elastic/logstash-exhaustive-tests-pipeline/builds/2273#01988b77-2aca-4e55-aa35-3ec4e8a593e6

Not sure if you saw this: gradle/gradle#31939
