Conversion to mujoko file and My Mujoko is not working .

Hi!
I am a student of undergrad .

My setup

Mujoco version : 3.3.3 . I am using M1 pro macbook . Python : 3.12.8

My question

I have a thesis where I need to do the simulation of a robotic arm , but I have the model on Onshape , but I did convert it to mujoko format . I am using onshape-to-robot for conversion but there is problem with a stl file . How to solve this ?

As the error you posted already states: either the number of faces of part_4.stl is above 200.000 or it is in the wrong format. In the former case you need to simplify the 3d model, in the latter case you have to convert the stl from ASCII to binary format, e.g. with blender

How would I simplify the model ?

Maybe first try resolution/export settings directly in Onshape?

If these don't help, there are different approaches and possibilities with respective drawbacks to simplify a 3d mesh, depending on the software you are using (e.g. decimation in Blender). By googling you should be able to find tons of examples, tutorials and documentation.
