Hi MuJoCo Community,
Like many of you, I spend a lot of time tweaking MJCF files. While the native MuJoCo viewer is excellent for visualization, the "edit XML -> save -> reload" loop always felt a bit disconnected for fine-tuning model properties.
I developed RobolaWeb, a browser-based visual editor designed to streamline this workflow without forcing you to move your files to the cloud. Free to use.
🛠️ How it works
It uses a small Python bridge with mujoco spec model edit to link your local environment with a web-based UI.
I suggest to create a new python venv by python 3.12, then
pip install robolarobola serve your_model.xmlorrobola serve new_model_path.xml --new✨ Key Features
🚀 Motivation
Hand-editing XML is often "filthy" when you're just trying to align coordinates or test damping values. Even if you have the model's structure in your mind, having a "dashboard" to slide values and see instant results significantly boosts productivity.
I'm currently in the Beta stage and it’s free to use. I would love to get feedback from this community on what features would be most useful next (e.g., URDF to MJCF conversion, advanced tree management).
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
