Single quotes don't work on Windows unless you explicitly run PS commands.

sure. I didn’t do the distribution downloading, as that needs a bunch of checksums. is there a script to create that data?

Please incorporate the changes I just did to release 3.14 support. Note that dropping support for 3.8 is already merged but the default branch is in an unreleaseable state until workspaces lands which is why small releases come from a separate branch.

No thanks, I can backport when necessary! I'm hoping that workspaces gets merged soon and then I don't have to maintain a hacky branch in order to make critical releases/bug fixes.
