Steps to run multiple simultaneous deployments:

1. Create separate deployer config files for each deployment:
```sh
cp config/deployer.json config/deployer-test1.json
cp config/deployer.json config/deployer-test2.json
```

```sh
cp config/deployer.json config/deployer-test1.json
cp config/deployer.json config/deployer-test2.json
```
1. Edit each config file to set unique values for both `ClusterName` and `TerraformStateDir`:
- `ClusterName`: e.g., `"loadtest1"`, `"loadtest2"`, etc.
- `TerraformStateDir`: e.g., `"/var/lib/mattermost-load-test-ng/loadtest1"`, `"/var/lib/mattermost-load-test-ng/loadtest2"`, etc.
- `ClusterName`: e.g., `"loadtest1"`, `"loadtest2"`, etc.
- `TerraformStateDir`: e.g., `"/var/lib/mattermost-load-test-ng/loadtest1"`, `"/var/lib/mattermost-load-test-ng/loadtest2"`, etc.

1. Run the deployment create command for each deployment in different terminals:
```sh
go run ./cmd/ltctl deployment create --config config/deployer-test1.json
go run ./cmd/ltctl deployment create --config config/deployer-test2.json
```
```sh
go run ./cmd/ltctl deployment create --config config/deployer-test1.json
go run ./cmd/ltctl deployment create --config config/deployer-test2.json
```

This likely happens because AWS doesn’t have an available subnet in the zone we explicitly set in the Terraform config. You can fix this by leaving AWSAvailabilityZone empty in config/deployer.json.

Just a heads-up — leaving it empty might increase traffic-related AWS costs for very large tests, since resources won’t necessarily be deployed in the same Availability Zone.

### Why does the agent fail with a 501 error against Mattermost servers older than v11.0.1?

Starting with load-test-ng **v1.30.0**, the tool uses the `GetClientConfig` API endpoint, which changed in Mattermost **v11.0.1** (the `format` parameter was deprecated). Running load-test-ng v1.30.0 or later against a Mattermost server older than v11.0.1 will result in a 501 error.

If you are running a Mattermost server older than v11.0.1, use load-test-ng **v1.29.0** or earlier, which calls the legacy client config API using `format=old` and is compatible with pre-v11 servers.

**Note:** Older load-test-ng versions may not include the latest fixes or features. Review the [changelog](https://github.com/mattermost/mattermost-load-test-ng/releases) for your selected version to understand any potential limitations.
