Solution Development Copilot Platform
The Solution Development Copilot Platform (SDCP) contains multiple components and only parts are covered by the Sustainable Supply Chain Framework (SSCF).
Looking at the market of solution development tools in November 2025, we see the the phases development and testing have a very good coverage, especially around test automation and development copilots. The gap we saw, was around the analysis/requirements and architecture/design phase. The SSCF initiative is currently working with research and industry to bring the concept of copilots to project roles of a business analyst and a solution architect.
Together with a model-driven approach (see section Sustainability Reference Architecture), the use of Copilot brings clear benefits as research has shown.

The Business Analysis Copilot (BAC) is a genAI tool that helps business analysts in the development of business designs, increasing productivity but to 50% and quality up to 40% according to the research mentioned below when combines with a model-driven solution implementation approach.
We have started to explore the concept of a Business Analysis Copilot in the context of a Capstone project at the Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. An initial POC from a student team is now in the hand of a small team of SSCF community members to create a MVP.
The BAC is an open-source project and can be found here on GitHub: Solution Architecture Co-Pilot
The Solution Architecture Copilot (SAC) is a genAI tool that helps the solution architect, based on the output of the Business Analysis Copilot, to finish the solution architecture design and then generate initial code and configuration in the IDEs of the technology products used to implement a solution for the use case. Based on the capabilities of the IDE, the developer may be supported by development copilots.
For the SAC our SSCF project is currently collaborating with Fraunhofer IOSB to setup a research project with industry partners.
