Can this engine solve the tactile perception of PBD-based cloth in the future? #803

The current simulation engine is prone to model penetration when operating PBD cloth, which makes the tactile simulation unable to achieve the same effect as rigid body and FEM object. Can our Newton solve this problem? |

We currently focus on cloth simulation via VBD and the Style3D solvers where penetrations are handled much better than in our XPBD implementation, are you able to leverage those for tactile perception instead? We may revisit cloth simulation in XPBD at a later time again. |
