columnを「段組み」と訳した方が一般的かと思いますがいかがでしょうか？
これが正解という確証はありませんが、たとえば @mkpoli さんの記事などもあります。

用語集に載せてもよいかとも思いましたが、gridレイアウトなど、行(row)と列(column)という意味合いで使われることもあるため、ガチガチに定義をしなくてもよいかなと思いました。

columnの訳出についてですが、mkpoliさんが記事中で参照されている、日本語組版処理の要件（日本語版）に従うことにします。原則として、"column"を「段」、"columns"あるいは"columns layout"などを「段組」にすることにします。
columnを「段組」とすると、文章としても多くの箇所で不自然になりますし、日本語組版処理の要件（日本語版）の方でも「段組」に相当するのが"multi-column format"とされているためです。

まだ作業が完了していないため、取り急ぎ方針だけお伝えします。

Approve後にすみません。
こちらCopilotも指摘していたのですが、jlreqに合わせるなら「段間」だということでそうしてみました。
他の候補としては「段間隔」もあります。
こちらに関して皆様のご意見を伺いたいです。
