This topic matters as it relates to what I'm studying in this module because the Lab 08 is heavily focused on the Registry Editor. The tasks performed in the Lab are tasks that can be utilized quite heavily in a company setting, and if not it's essential to know and understand in my opinion.

This article explains where registry files are located on Windows 10 and Windows 7 even though you are not able to edit the files directly. It continues to explain that main registry groups (in the Registry Editor) are considered hives, and it originated back in Windows 3.1 (initially intended for specific types of software). The continuing explanation shares that it may be beneficial for everyone to edit their own Registry to encompass the customizations that suit them. However, if you do end up editing your Registry, it should not be done willy-nilly (as I'd like to say). You need to know what you're doing and how to properly make edits so you do not cause errors in your system. File names need to be written in proper context, and files themselves need to be created along with implemented properly. The article explains further how to make certain changes, and how to do a few geeky hacks here and there.

Things I would like to know more about are what experienced professionals edit on their own personal computers. What are the most common edits a company makes on business computers? What is the most difficult (or complex) edit, if any?
