I only added this fix to the workflows that failed in the nightly testing report. It's possible we may want to extend it to all workflows until GitHub's runners consistently have the sims we need.

Fix #14542

Hello @ncooke3, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

Summary of Changes

This pull request addresses an issue where visionOS simulators were not consistently found in GitHub's runners, causing failures in nightly testing. To resolve this, I've added a step to explicitly install the visionOS platform using xcodebuild -downloadPlatform visionOS in several workflow files. This ensures that the necessary simulators are available before the tests are executed. The fix is applied conditionally based on the matrix.target value, specifically targeting 'visionOS' or 'visionOS spm'.

Highlights

  • Bug Fix: Addresses the issue of missing visionOS simulators in GitHub runners, preventing test failures.
  • Infrastructure: Adds a step to install visionOS simulators in workflows that target visionOS.
  • Conditional Execution: The installation step is only executed when the workflow matrix target is set to 'visionOS' or 'visionOS spm'.
