Updates the metrics server endpoint to use certs generated by cert-manager; ref #363 (comment)
I was naively expecting that we could do away with the
-karg when curling the metrics server but the certs still use a self-signed CA, so it still appears to be necessary. (Unless I'm missing something?)So, this PR doesn't change too much functionally but comes with the benefit that this metrics server endpoint uses the same cert mechanism as the pre-existing webhook server endpoint, and the relevant bits of code are slightly more up-to-date with latest kubebuilder examples.
