Email to Tim from SEEK:

Hi $POTENTIAL_SPONSOR,

This is Lyndon. Andrew just put me in touch with you since $COMPANY may be interested in getting involved in the "Compose :: Melbourne" conference.

Compose :: Melbourne is a new conference that we're running for the second consecutive year in Melbourne - A sister conference of the New York based "Compose :: Conference". I'm on the Compose Melbourne committee along with 5 others.

The conference is going to be focused around typed-functional-programming and applications of recent research and theory - very similar to the focus of Compose Conference in New York. We're aiming for lots of talks on the more hardcore aspects of functional-programming, but at the same time placing an emphasis on making this accessible and inclusive - making sure that content is able to be enjoyed by both newcomers as well as veterans and experts. We're also offering sponsored diversity tickets to ensure that financial concerns don't prevent interested members of our diverse community from attending.

I've heard that $COMPANY has begun using $FUNCTIONAL_LANGUAGE in anger recently and is doing some interesting things in this space. As such, I've included $COMPANY on Compose-Melbourne's "potential sponsors" Trello board. I've spoken with $PERSON briefly about the prospect of $COMPANY being interested in joining our sponsors to help us put on a great event, and he seems to think that it's definitely a possibility.

You can see our sponsorship prospectus here: https://github.com/composeconference/Compose-Melbourne-2017/wiki/Sponsorship-Tiers.

If this interests you, then let's have a chat - coffee, or Google-Hangouts, or even just exchange further email.

Let me know what you think!

Kind Regards,

  • $COMMITTEE_MEMBER
