Ordering replacement chips: You can order any type-25 16mb chip: search for 25Q128 NOR flash chip. 25 is the type, 128 is the size in megabits (128/8=12 megabytes). You can solder a 16mb chip on even the original is only 8mb.
You may also want to get yourself a 208-mil socket for this kind of chips to put them into a programmer.
