Refreshing Metadata

Admin users can request the refresh of local and external metadata.

To do so, on the web app, they can open a resource's context menu and tap the Refresh Metadata button. This will open a modal with two buttons: one to refresh local metadata, one to fetch/refresh external metadata.

By default, refreshing local metadata will only be done for the files that changed since their registration. You can force the refresh to consider all related file by ticking the checkbox.

When refreshing external metadata, by default, the refreshing process only relies on the known external links. You can ask to look for additional links by unticking the checkbox. However, this mean that all the external links will be recomputed and overwritten. When (and only if) the checkbox is unticked, it will use the embedded MBIDs to speed up the matching process.
