Media Files

Overview

The Media Files list view displays all media file records in Proclaim. Media files represent audio, video, and document resources attached to messages, hosted across various server platforms.

How to Access

Components -> Proclaim -> Media Files

Toolbar

Button Action
New Opens a server picker modal, then the media file form
Actions Dropdown: Publish, Unpublish, Archive, Trash, Batch
Empty Trash Permanently deletes trashed items (shown when viewing trash)
Help Opens this help page

Columns

Column Description
Checkbox Select items for batch operations
Ordering Drag-drop handle for manual ordering
Status Publication status icon
Resource Name Server type identifier (click to edit)
Study Title The parent message title
Media Type Content type (audio, video, document)
Create Date When the media file was created
Access Joomla view access level
Stats Play count and download count
ID Unique database identifier

Filters

Filter Description
Search Free-text search (supports id: syntax)
Status Published, Unpublished, Archived, Trashed, or All
Year Filter by creation year
Access Filter by view access level
Language Filter by language

Batch Operations

Option Description
Language Change language assignment
Access Level Change view access level
Player Change the player type
Popup Change popup behavior
Media Type Change the media type classification
Link Type Change the link behavior

Tips

  • Use id:123 in the search box to quickly find a media file by its database ID.
  • The Stats column shows play and download counts -- useful for identifying popular content.
  • A lock icon on a row indicates the item is checked out by another user. Use Check In to release it.
  • Sortable columns: Ordering, Status, Study Title, Create Date, Access, ID.
