CAR Object Page Metadata Display
The fields that are displayed when viewing an object page are configured separately from the fields displayed in search results.
To make modifications to these fields, to go the “Metadata Display” page under the Solr Index page. Then click the “Default” link. (These settings can be split out by content model, but for most content models, we are just using the default configuration.)
On the default display configuration page, scroll down to the “Display fields” area. Here, you can add, edit and remove fields.

How can you tell which solr fields to use? The simplest way is to have islandora solr temporarily display all solr fields when showing search results. On the main solr settings page, there is a checkbox “Limit results to fields listed above?”. If you uncheck this box, and then do a search, you will see all the solr fields and their values for the items found in the search. It’s a lot!
