User Management Setting Partner Organization Authors
After attempting to remove a Partner Lead from a Partner Collection, you may encounter an error where the Partner Lead is not successfully removed. This happens if the Partner User is attributed as the author of a Partner collection.
Note: the author of a given Partner Organization page is indicated at the very bottom of the view page.
To disassociate a Partner Lead set as an Author:
-
Open "Edit" Partner Collection page tab
-
Scroll to bottom tool bar
-
Open the Authoring Information tab of the bottom tool bar
-
Remove the value in the "Authored by" field.
a. If there is a partner user listed here it will prevent removal of the user from the partner collection as a system safeguard.
b. By removing the partner user value one can now truly remove a partner lead from the Partner Collection group.
c. Do not set a new partner user value. This will prevent this issue in the future.
-
Save the completed form.
-
Once this is done, use the normal process of removing a user:
a. Click on Group → People
b. Click box next to Username → Edit
c. Set Status to Pending
d. Unclick Partner Lead box
e. Update membership
f. From the Group page click box next to Username
g. Under Operations menu → select Remove from Group
h. Execute → Click Confirm
-
If this does not work, i.e. partner user is not present in group and still appears as a point of contact on Partner Collection page, try the following:
a. Navigate to People
b. Locate the partner user's account via search or browsing
c. Edit the partner user
- Set **Status** to "Blocked" - Uncheck "Partner" under **Roles** - Remove relevant values from **Group Membership** - Save the recordd. Check the Partner Collection page, this user should not appear any longer
