You started the launcher, good. But you are looking at a blank page, what will you do?
For a detailed description of this 'blank' page, click here.
The principle of the launcher is simple. Create a profile, customize it, and play.
Before creating a profile, it is recommended to change your account. Click on the bottom right corner (menu button), and change your username from the account text box. If you want to mark your account as online, check the online box. This option redirects you to the Microsoft Authentication page before entering a game to authenticate you in Minecraft.
Now, you have to create a profile. Right-click on the page and click on the New Profile button. Then customize your profile (see Edit Profile Page), and save it. You will be redirected to the main profile page.
Hooray! You created your first profile. If you want, you can customize more of your profile on this page (see Profile Page).
Let's go back to the main page by closing this. Right-click on the page again and select All Profiles. Then, click on your new profile here.
Your new profile will be placed in the dock. To select your profile, click on it. And we're in the last step: play!
To launch the game, you can push on the big play button in the bottom left corner. Keep in mind, that the first launch may be long because the launcher downloads the assets the first time.
