gettext_contained

uiz_getText_contained_(string,width)_

Use these scripts if you need to draw text within a certain width, to cut off your string. These scripts handles SINGLE LINE strings. For multiline string, seeuiz_getTextLines_contained. These scripts don't have a font parameter. If you need to set a font, use draw_set_font.

Functions

• return = uiz_getText_contained(string, width): Cuts off the last few characters of the string if the string does not fit within the given width. Three dots "..." are placed at the end instead. The returned string is always within the given width.

  • return: The string which has been cut off to fit inside the width.
  • width: The maximum width in pixels your string may be before it gets cut off.

• return = uiz_getText_contained_noDots(string, width): Does the same as uiz_getText_contained, but doesn't put "..." on the end.

  • return: The string which has been cut off to fit inside the width.
